National Assembly hosts 2013 5/30 Health and Wellness Challenge team to emphasize the importance of healthy lifestyle habits

To celebrate the success of the 2013 Health Challenge campaign, the President of the National Assembly invited the Health Challenge and ACTI MENU teams to a reception and luncheon at Le Parlementaire restaurant. The winners of the IGA Grand Prize and the Desjardins Family Prize were also announced at the event.

Several MNAs and partners attended the luncheon, whose theme was the importance of disease prevention and the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits. Guests included Jacques Chagnon, President of the National Assembly of Quebec; Pauline Marois, Premier of Quebec; Réjean Hébert, Minister of Health and Social Services; Alexandre Iracà, Official Opposition Critic for Youth, Recreation and Sports; Hélène Daneault, Second Opposition Group Critic for Health; Mélanie Maynard, Health Challenge spokesperson; Dr. Louis Gagnon, Co-President and Founder, ACTI-MENU; Eric Myles, Executive Director, Québec en forme; Marie Huguette Cormier, Executive Vice-President, Communications, Desjardins Group; and Mario Lalancette, Head Nutritionist, IGA.
